Roundup Tracker

new roundup logo design contest proposal

The contest should proceed in the following four steps:

  1. Proposal and discussion of contest rules and final agreement
  2. Public announcement of the design contest
  3. Submission period for contest entries
  4. Voting period and election of the final new logo

Designing a good logo requires time. This is a non-profit endeavour: spare time is rare. Therefore the time frame for each of these steps should be large enough. And: currently many people enjoy their summer vacations.

I propose at least four weeks (may be more?) for each of these steps.

1. Proposal of contest rules (just some ideas)

This wiki page is the "home page" of the contest.

Someone will be elected as a contest moderator.

Contest entries must be send either to this moderator or to this mailing list (but not including the images of course!). The contest moderator lists all contest entries on the wiki page in the order of submission.

Everybody subscribed to a Roundup mailing list is entitled to vote on the new logo design.

The contest moderator is allowed to submit his own entry to the contest.

If we get more than three entries to the contest then I propose each voter should have five votes: The voter may either give the votes completely to one single design or distribute them over several designs as she/he likes.

The design entry with most votes wins.
